Our Firm — Keystone Capital
Serving discerning homeowners since 1987 · Private lending, personally delivered
Our Firm

Some firms chase the market. We have outlasted it — four times.

A history of keeping our word.

Keystone Capital was founded in 1987 on a conviction that has not required revision since: a mortgage is the largest financial commitment most families ever make, and it deserves the same care a private bank extends to its wealthiest clients.

Through the savings-and-loan crisis, the dot-com winter, 2008, and the rate shocks that followed, our practice has not changed. We lend on sound principles, we put our counsel in writing, and we tell clients the truth — including when the truth is that they should wait.

Today the second generation of Keystone bankers serves the second generation of Keystone families. We consider that symmetry our finest credential.

Guiding Principles

Three commitments, kept since 1987.

I

Candor

Our recommendation is delivered in writing, with the reasoning attached. If a loan does not serve you, we will say so — and we frequently have.

II

Discretion

Your finances are discussed with you, your banker, and no one else. No lead lists, no marketing calls, no exceptions.

III

Continuity

The banker who opens your file closes it — and answers the phone when you call back in five years. Relationships here are measured in decades.

The Bankers

The people who will know your name.

Edmund Carroway

Managing Principal
NMLS #000000

Thirty-one years with the firm. Oversees the estate lending practice and still reviews every jumbo memorandum before it leaves the office.

Margaret Ellsworth

Senior Private Banker
NMLS #000000

Counsel to three generations of client families. Regarded as the firm's conscience on refinance questions — and its most frequent author of "not yet."

Thomas Beaumont

Private Banker, VA & FHA
NMLS #000000

A veteran himself, he administers the firm's VA practice with particular pride. Handles every Certificate of Eligibility personally.

Charlotte Hale

Private Banker, First Homes
NMLS #000000

Leads the first-home counsel practice. Believes a client's first mortgage should be an education, and conducts it accordingly.
